Will the game release on Switch?
Yes, we aim to bring the game to Switch on the same day it releases on Steam. We plan to release to the following regions:
- Americas (North and South America)
- Europe (incl. Australia, New Zealand, and Africa)
- Japan

Can I have a Switch key instead of a Steam key?
For any Dreamwalker game key: Yes! You can upgrade your Steam key to a Switch key in the pledge manager after the campaign ends. We will have to ask for a 5€ upgrade fee, though, since we need to buy the keys from Nintendo ourselves.
For the original Tavern Talk game key (add-on), we do not provide any Switch keys as part of this campaign.

Will the game run on Steam Deck?
Yes, the game already works very well on our Steam Decks at the office. We’ve got the original Tavern Talk game Steam Deck verified, and we aim to follow suit with Dreamwalker as swiftly after release as possible.

Do the rewards and add-on prices contain VAT?
No. All reward and add-on prices do not include VAT. If applicable to your pledge, VAT will be charged post-campaign through the pledge manager.

Do I need to know Tavern Talk to enjoy Dreamwalker?
No. Dreamwalker has been designed as a standalone game. While there are, of course, some cross-references to the original game (this being a prequel to it), you can absolutely and fully enjoy it without having played the original.

How is the lorebook different from the art book?
The Dreamwalker art book, which is part of the Adventurer tier and also available as an add-on, focuses intensively on the beautiful art of Dreamwalker and comes with a little note here and there to give some context. The lorebook, on the other hand, is much more than that: It’s an 85 page strongtome of wisdom about the world of Asteria, the universe of the Tavern Talk series, and while it is beautifully illustrated, it goes well beyond that and holds a ton of information about Phesoa, the planes of existence, and the draconic pantheon. It is also the perfect foundation for any TTRPG runs you may want to build inspired by the Tavern Talk world.

Will owners of the lorebook get the updated version as well?
To our abilities, yes! If you’ve received the lorebook as a reward with any of our old campaigns, we will try to send you the upgraded version via the pledge managers (Backerkit) of those campaigns. We will also update the version we have on Steam, so you should receive an auto-update there as well. If you purchased it through our former online shop, we unfortunately have no means of running an update through it. In that case, please send us the receipt at [email protected], and we’ll send you the updated version.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
